(from yesterday)…overseas hatred will cool a little after November.

Certainly in Europe at least. Most Europeans are eager to return to the image of the heroic G.I. saving their quaint village from fascism and oppression. They cannot harbor this romanticism as long as “Cowboy Politics” is still in effect. It’s such an odd concept that massive protests against a U.S. President could shut down the streets of an Italian city. How could such a pro-American (post-WWII) country, one which brought us the “spaghetti western,” be so inclined to hate Uncle Sam?
